Storage
Storage
The goal of storage is to ensure the availability of goods at the required time and condition, optimize the use of warehouse space, and thereby minimize the client’s costs.
What types of warehouse locations do we offer?
- Pallet position (1,2×0,8×1,5 m)
- Pick box (0,6×0,4×0,22 m)
Pallet storage is mainly used for larger, heavier, or bulkier goods, which are usually delivered to the warehouse in larger quantities. Pallet storage allows easy handling using forklifts and efficient use of vertical space in the warehouse. It is mostly utilized in the B2B sector and in most cases involves storing goods in transport packaging.
Storage in pick boxes is especially suitable for smaller, lighter, or small-item goods that are often ordered in single units — typically in the B2C sector (e-shops). Pick boxes are usually arranged on shelves and optimized for fast picking of individual items. This type of storage allows efficient processing of a high volume of orders with fewer items, reducing picking time and increasing accuracy.
In our warehouse, combining both storage options according to client needs and the nature of the goods is a matter of course. Unlike other companies, we do not have a uniform price per cubic meter of storage, as we differentiate storage fees between pick boxes and pallet positions. Pallet positions are significantly cheaper because they require lower initial investment in warehouse equipment; thus, prices differ based on the storage type. Our clients can save up to 50% on storage costs compared to other companies that do not differentiate based on storage method and charge a flat rate per cubic meter.
Do you have a minimum storage fee?
No, we do not have a minimum storage fee; the client pays only for what they actually use.
How do I know if my goods will be stored on a pallet or in a pick box?
We always automatically choose the most economical storage method for the given product type based on the delivered quantity. A client can have a combination of pallet positions and pick boxes in the warehouse.
How many types of goods can be stored on one pallet position?
Typically, one type of product is placed on one pallet position.
How many types of goods can be stored in one pick box?
Goods in a pick box can be separated. If clarity is maintained, it is possible to store multiple types of goods in one box.
How can I check the amount of my storage fees?
Each month, the client receives a report containing all warehouse movements and related fees.
What types of storage do you offer?
